A delightful layered dessert featuring a salty pretzel crust, creamy filling, and luscious strawberry topping, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups pretzel sticks
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 8 oz Cool Whip
  • 2 cups strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup strawberry gelatin
  • 2 cups boiling water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a food processor or using a rolling pin, crush the pretzel sticks until they are fine crumbs. Combine the crushed pretzels with melted butter and sugar until well-coated. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish and bake for 10 minutes. Once baked, set it aside to cool completely.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Once combined, gently fold in the Cool Whip until you achieve a light and fluffy consistency.
  3. In a separate bowl, dissolve the strawberry gelatin in the boiling water, stirring until fully dissolved. Add the sliced strawberries to the warm mixture, allow it to cool for a few minutes before pouring it delicately over the cream cheese layer.
  4. To ensure all the flavors meld beautifully, place the assembled dish in the fridge and let it chill for at least 2 hours.

Notes

Serve chilled with a dollop of Cool Whip and a fresh strawberry slice for garnish. If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container for up to three days.
