A vibrant and flavorful bowl featuring seared steak, sautéed peppers and onions, served with rice or quinoa.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound steak (such as flank or sirloin)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 teaspoons fajita seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice or quinoa for serving
  • Optional toppings: avocado, cilantro, lime, salsa

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the steak generously with salt, pepper, and fajita seasoning.
  3. Cook the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side until it reaches your desired doneness.
  4. Sauté the sliced bell pepper and onion in the same skillet until tender and slightly caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Slice the steak thinly against the grain after it has rested.
  6. Assemble the bowls with a serving of cooked rice or quinoa topped with sliced steak, sautéed vegetables, and optional toppings.

Notes

Use a meat thermometer for perfect steak doneness; aim for 130°F for medium-rare. Feel free to substitute with other proteins or veggies.
