Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz linguine or spaghetti
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the unsalted butter and olive oil together over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
  4. Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque; season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  5. Pour in the white wine and lemon juice, stirring to combine, and let simmer for another 2 minutes.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing everything together until well mixed.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

Do not overcook the shrimp; they cook quickly and can become rubbery. Choose high-quality shrimp and wine for best results.
