Ingredients

  • 1 pound sausage
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 cups bread, cubed
  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon mustard (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned; drain excess fat.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and mustard.
  4. In a greased baking dish, layer the cubed bread.
  5. Follow with the cooked sausage and a generous sprinkle of cheese.
  6. Pour the egg mixture over the layers in the baking dish.
  7. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the top is golden brown.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes
