Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 medium potatoes, sliced
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 onion, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Sauté the ground beef and onion over medium heat; season with salt and pepper.
- Layer the sliced potatoes in a baking dish.
- Combine the cream of mushroom soup with the milk in a bowl; pour over the potatoes.
- Add the beef mixture on top of the soup-covered potatoes.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour, then remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
- Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat as needed.
