A fun, healthy snack made with ripe fruit, perfect for kids’ lunchboxes or as a post-workout treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups of fruit puree (such as apple, mango, or strawberries)
  • 1 tablespoon of honey or sugar (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 140°F (or the lowest setting) to prepare for the gentle baking process.
  2. Blend your chosen fruit in a blender until smooth to create approximately 2 cups of luscious fruit puree.
  3. Mix in the honey or sugar and lemon juice (optional) to sweeten your puree and enhance the flavors.
  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, ensuring it’s smooth and ready to hold the fruit mixture.
  5. Pour the fruit puree onto the lined baking sheet and spread it out evenly, making sure it’s approximately 1/8 inch thick.
  6. Bake in the oven for 6-8 hours until the fruit leather is no longer sticky to the touch and feels pliable.
  7. Carefully remove the baking sheet from the oven and allow the fruit leather to cool. Once cooled, cut into strips and either roll them up for snacks or store in an airtight container.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to 1 month. For longer storage, wrap each piece in parchment paper and freeze.
