A delightful dessert combining German chocolate, cream cheese, pecans, and coconut, perfect for any occasion.

  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 box German chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch pan.
  2. Spread the chopped pecans and shredded coconut evenly on the bottom of the prepared pan.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the German chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until smooth, then pour over the nutty layer.
  4. Blend the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Drop dollops over the cake batter and swirl gently with a knife.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, checking doneness with a toothpick.
  6. Once done, allow the cake to cool before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator or frozen for later.
