- 1 sheet Puff Pastry (Thawed)
- 1 large Egg (Beaten for egg wash)
- 1 cup Parmesan Cheese (Freshly grated)
- 1 teaspoon Salt (Sea salt recommended)
- 2 tablespoons Fresh Rosemary (Chopped)
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder (Or fresh minced garlic)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare your puff pastry by rolling it out on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick.
- Combine the Parmesan cheese, rosemary, salt, and garlic powder in a bowl.
- Brush the pastry surface with the beaten egg and sprinkle the cheese mixture over half.
- Fold the pastry in half to cover the cheese and press lightly to seal.
- Cut the pastry into thin strips (about 1/2 inch wide) and twist each strip.
- Arrange the twisted straws on a baking sheet and brush with more egg wash.
- Bake for about 12-15 minutes until crispy and golden brown.
- Cool slightly on a wire rack before serving.
Notes
For added flavor, consider substituting rosemary with thyme or adding cayenne for spice.
