  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Macerate the blackberries with 1/2 cup of sugar and let sit for 10 minutes.
  3. Mix together the flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  4. Combine milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract with the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  6. Add the blackberry mixture over the batter.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown.
