  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil for frying
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Begin by marinating the shrimp in a cup of rich, tangy buttermilk for about 30 minutes.
  2. While the shrimp are soaking, create a creamy sauce by mixing mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha until smooth.
  3. Once the shrimp have marinated, dredge them in cornstarch.
  4. Grab a frying pan and heat a tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  5. Fry the shrimp in batches for about 3-4 minutes, until they’re golden and cooked through.
  6. In this step, toss the fried shrimp in the sauce mixture until generously coated.
  7. Finally, serve the bang bang shrimp garnished with green onions.

Notes
